Artist Statement
I began painting water and people’s relationship to water, experimenting with color, gesture, energy, movement, proxemics, and politics. From beaches to pools to baths to glaciers to coastlines, I showcase how people connect to various forms of water. Regardless of the location, experiencing the sound, light, color, and continual motion of water often creates a transformative experience.
