ARTIST STATEMENT
My work revolves around capturing the strong light on a subject, balanced by rich, vibrant shadow colors. I work in oils and watercolors, striving to capture the atmosphere of the location while creating a sense of calm – be it a cityscape or the rural bayside of New Jersey where I live.
I have attained Signature Membership in the Salmagundi Club, Allied Artists of America, Audubon Artists, Inc., Philadelphia Watercolor Society, Garden State Watercolor Society, and New Jersey Watercolor Society. I have been honored to receive awards in national and international exhibitions, most recently a Merit Award in the Salmagundi Club’s Annual Landscape Exhibition in New York City.
