Explorations in Color: Still Life & Plein Air
Open to beginner and intermediate painters, this workshop is designed to push your artistic abilities to the next level. Use alternative materials, brushes, palette knives and mediums to explore different styles in your work. Students will create a still life in the studio, and paint on location en plein air (weather permitting). Instruction by Franny Andahazy.
Explorations in Color I: Beginner
A 3-day workshop for beginners to experience and learn the basic techniques of oil painting. Explore color properties and color mixing, creating a composition, and understanding value. We will work from small still life sets ups and photos. The class will focus on helping the student begin to paint, develop a style, and work towards completing a larger finished work.
Explorations in Color II: Intermediate
A 3-day workshop for intermediate painters who want to be pushed to the next level with their own painting. Use alternative materials, brushes, palette knives and mediums to explore new directions in your work. Focus on enlivening the canvas through alternative & contemporary techniques. Students will create still life set-ups and paint on location en plein air as well.
